Massage Therapist, River North: We are seeking a skilled and entrepreneurial massage therapist for our River North center for 2 days per week (some weekend availability is required). PDtM massage therapists are trained in an exclusive massage protocol designed specifically for fertility - candidates interviewing should have a passion to learn about and research this unique population. Acupuncturist, Rockville, MD: We are currently seeking experienced acupuncturists for their integrative care for fertility and pregnancy business in Maryland, DC and Northern Virginia locations. Part-time positions are currently available. Ideal candidate will be specifically trained/licensed in Traditional Chinese Medicine and have at least one year of clinical experience. ABORM certification is a plus. NCCAAOM is required. We are seeking acupuncturists who are passionate about women's health and enthusiastic about receiving training in fertility specific methods. Pulling Down the Moon works in partnership with SHADY GROVE FERTILITY CENTER. As a result, training in the medical aspects of fertility will also be provided

Acupuncture Director, Chicago: We are currently seeking an experienced Acupuncture Director for their integrative care for fertility and pregnancy business in their Chicago (River North) location. Ideal candidate will be specifically trained/licensed in Traditional Chinese Medicine and have at least five years of clinical experience receiving training in fertility specific methods. ABORM certification is a plus. NCCAAOM is required.

The Acupuncture Director will treat patients on Wednesday’s and Saturday’s in our River North location. In addition they will be responsible for 16 hours/month at a rate of $25/hour to work on clinical and administrative tasks. There is the opportunity to take an additional 1/2 day in Chicago or 1 full day in an outer office, negotiable. Travel to Shady Grove (our offices in DC Metro) for at least one overnight should be anticipated every 6-8 weeks.

Clinical Tasks

-Chart review

-Monthly conference call meeting for acupuncture practitioners at all locations

-Assure consistency of PDtM treatment protocols

-Mentorship of staff

-Keeping abreast of latest research and reporting back to staff and PDtM employees

-Oversees, and ensures that PDtM policies and procedures are maintained

-Ensures that evaluation of PDtM practitioners occur on a regular basis

-Coordinates the development and mentoring of PDtM Practitioners

-Provides leadership, supervision, and support to PDtM staff

-Teaches six (6) continuing Ed type courses per year


-Hiring when needed. Includes placing of advertising, interviewing, hiring, and obtaining all necessary paperwork.

-6-week training follow-up

-Maintaining acupuncture employee files: includes keeping track of license and insurance expiration.

-Annual reviews

-Problem solving in the department, particularly as it relates to human resource issues including disciplinary measures.

-Work with Business Manager and other department heads to represent PDtM leadership team

-Occasional visits to outer offices if needed

-Work with admin staff for supply and needle orders

-Maintain budget for the department

-Travel every 6-8 weeks to Washington DC
