She is nationally board certified in acupuncture and Chinese herbology by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). She became a fellow of the American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine (FABORM) in April 2010. Anna currently practices acupuncture and Oriental medicine at Pulling Down The Moon. Her specialty is in obstetrics and gynecological conditions, with particular attention to enhancing fertility and the treatment of infertility. In addition to her current practice, Anna is a clinic supervisor at the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine.
Anna has been a member of the Illinois State Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine since 2001. Her past work experience includes three years on staff at Northwestern Memorial Physicians Group’s Center for Integrative Medicine, in Chicago. Her practice there focused primarily on the treatment of infertility and fertility enhancement.
“Growing up in a family of physicians I knew I always wanted to do something in the health field. My father specialized in obstetrics and gynecology, and my mother was a radiologist. I have always gravitated more towards natural medicine. Herbology is what initially drew me to Oriental medicine. After beginning school, I saw the importance of the combination of acupuncture with herbs, and how it helps enhance treatment results,” says Anna.
