Yoga for Fertility

This six-week class is a journey into the healing powers of Yoga for Fertility and how this practice can help calm and heal the body, clear the mind and lighten the heart. At each class you will learn a series of yoga postures designed to improve fertility by increasing blood flow into the pelvis, releasing stress and anxiety and balancing life energy flow in the body. In addition to this physical practice we make a sequential exploration concepts from yoga philosophy that frame the fertility journey in a way that reveals our personal strengths, reinforces the joy of everyday life and empowers us to create the family we are meant to have. Through this class you will also join the wonderful, positive healing community of Pulling Down the Moon and enjoy the energy of all the amazing women who have shared their journey with us.
Yoga and Egg Quality: While age still matters, the thinking around egg quality has evolved over the last decade and a diagnosis of poor egg quality has the potential to change/improve. While no treatment has 100% success rate, holistic treatments like acupuncture, massage, yoga and nutrition counseling work to improve the environment eggs develop within by increasing blood flow, lowering hormonal disruption through stress management and improved sleep, and decreasing inflammation that can impair cell function. A: Make-ups are available for any in-center session offered for a full year!
Q: When is the best time to start?
A: Yoga for Fertility is perfect for when you are taking a break, after a failed cycle, or during an ART cycle. We also have “rolling enrollment” which allows you to start on any date the series is offered–as long as space is available.

Prenatal Yoga After Infertility & Loss 6-Week Series/Drop-In Classes (Chicago)
At Pulling Down the Moon, we understand the needs of our patients. We have been there and we provide community, support, and services to care for you on your journey. This class is designed to support formerly infertile (and those that have experienced loss) soon-to-be moms navigate this new journey of pregnancy.
Prenatal Yoga is beneficial for both mother and baby. Like all yoga, Prenatal Yoga enhances the mind/body connection and calms the spirit.
In addition, our Prenatal Yoga:

This practice includes stretching, toning, postures, and meditation to strengthen and support your rapidly changing body. With each stretch and through each series, you will cultivate the skills of breathing deeply and of relaxation, bringing you more fully present and aware of yourself and your growing baby. An excellent labor prep, you will learn techniques that will carry you through your pregnancy, birth, and beyond.
*Class recommended starting at 12 weeks gestation and through pregnancy.
*$90 for the 6 week series or $25 per session for drop-in*

Partner Prenatal Class
This Doula led partner workshop is designed for parents-to-be to connect with each other and with their baby, and explore techniques to make pregnancy and labor more comfortable. Couples will have the opportunity to practice yoga postures, breathing techniques, ask questions, and find a variety of comfort measures that work for them.
Recommended beginning at 12 weeks of pregnancy.
*$60 class covers fee for both partners*
