Postpartum Acupuncture
Comprehensive First Visit - $155

Balance after baby. Our clients complete a 90-minute Comprehensive First Visit which sets the foundation for expert care, Your licensed acupuncturist will begin with a consultation that covers your medical history and treatment objectives. This is whole-body care. Please feel free to mention all the "little things" that new mamas often keep to themselves (mood swings, weak bladder, etc). Your acupuncturist will take everything into account while conducting an assessment using Traditional Chinese Medicine techniques including: feeling the pulse, examining the tongue, & asking other specific questions.
You’ll receive your first acupuncture treatment at this appointment and the acupuncturist will tailor a treatment plan to your specific needs. They may also offer guidance regarding the frequency of follow-up visits and you may receive herbal recommendations or referrals for other specific services (red light therapy,
nutrition counseling or
massage) that may be beneficial to you at this time.
*Follow-up sessions are 60 minutes in length
Advanced Recovery Postpartum Massage
Our signature 90 minute service - $195

Repair and care for your body after its greatest feat! The Advanced Recovery Postpartum Recovery Massage is exclusive to Pulling Down the Moon and provides the ultimate reset. Enjoy a bespoke combination of techniques that promote healing and carry you through the strenuous fourth trimester. In addition to reaping the benefits of our traditional postpartum massage (below), each Advanced Recovery massage includes:
- 90 minutes of hands-on therapy
- red light therapy to stimulate womb healing
- Castor oil & breast massage to boost lactation plus clear clogged ducts
- Lymphatic drainage & essential oils to detoxify the body, regulate hormones & decrease water retention
- Deep, external abdomninal & pelvic massage to encourage healing of the pelvic floor, organ realignment, & uterine mobility
- Hip & gluteal massage for improved pelvic functioning & posture support
- C-section scar massage (if necessary)
- 10-15 minutes of assessment, education, and post-visit self-care recommendations
Traditional Postpartum Massage
60 min traditional postpartum session - $120

Welcome to the fourth trimester, an eventful and emotional time for all. Don't forget to nurture the nurturer with our relaxation-focused traditional postpartum massage. Clients can begin receiving this blissful massage within the first week after delivery. Each session includes 60- or 90-minutes of hands-on therapy as well as 10-15 minutes of assessment, education, and post-visit self-care recommendations. Traditional postpartum massage benefits include:
- Easing muscular tension & pain
- Activating parasympathetic nervous system (aka: your relaxation zone)

Postpartum Nutrition Counseling

All nutrition visits are held virtually.

You've got a lot on your plate! Refresh your nutrition strategy to align with the exciting (and often exasperating) demands of new parenthood. Our virtual nutrition counseling makes it easy to receive expert, personalized attention without the misinformation on often found on social media or the confusing advice offered by well-meaning friends and family. Our registered dietitian will begin with a thorough assessment of your health history and a discussion about your goals. You’ll then receive a bespoke plan based on your nutritional needs and make follow-up visits as recommended. Nutrition counseling can help with:
- Recovery from gestational diabetes
- PCOS
- Healthy postpartum weight loss
- Heartburn
- Managing new food sensitivities
- Optimal caloric intake for breastfeeding
